WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF SHEETING

THE PITCHED ROOF PROFILES WOULD INCLUDE THE ENTIRE RANGE PICTURED ABOVE

A pitched Roof is the best way to drain rain water that hits your roof. A steep pitch ensures the rain gets away quicker to the gutter and then the stormwater drain at ground level.

A pitched roof becomes 50% of the front facade of your home and can become a big part of the front feature and street appeal to your home.

With the right colour and profile selected – a new colorbond roof can completely transform a new build  or up lift a tired of building

If you mix a New Colorbond roof with some new cement render or weatherboard cladding – Maybe a bit of landscaping and your new Colorbond Roof can completely transform your home.

From the tired looking home – to the nicest home in your street.

THE FLAT ROOF PROFILES WOULD INCLUDE TRIMDEK, SPANDEK, KLIPLOK, FLATDEK, CUSTOM ORB ACCENT 21 AND CUSTOM ORB ACCENT 35

A flat roof can be designed for different reasons – to achieve larger ceiling heights and coincide with council regulations and finished building heights. Possibly to save money on construction costs – being materials and labour. The flat style roofs have also become popular with modern Australian architectural finishes, creating simplicity and clean lines with in the design

What ever your desire to finish with a flat roof is, We have the solution. Flat roof profiles will always be more specific on having larger – water pans. These water pans are the lower points of the roof sheets in which the water Travels mostly in its journey down to the guttering.

These larger water pans have high side walls, which keep the water from spilling back into your home ceiling. It is important that your roofing contractor knows exactly what the water volume capabilities for each selected profile.

It is important that your roofing contractor knows exactly what profile suits its specific purpose. For instance you can only use TRIMDEK 0.48 Thickness sheeting on a 2 degree roof pitch. If the roof pitch is 3 degrees than you may use the thinner 0.42 thickness material. Always use a licensed and insured contractor when dealing with flat roofs especially.

THE CURVED ROOF PROFILES WOULD INCLUDE CUSTOM BLUE ORB

Curved roofing is achievable by custom order. This involves our suppliers taking detailed measurement using the circumference to obtain the convex or concave measurements of the sheeting.

Curved custom blue orb is ordered to length using a thicker custom ordered sheeting thickness – being 0.7mm Thick. This is to stop the sheeting from crimping during the curving.

Sheeting is then cut onsite to suit the project at hand, either it be an existing sheeting being replaced or a new architectural designed building to scope.

USE A SPEED SQUARE

This diagram is pretty self explanatory – Square off on a timber rafter, Place a
small level on top of the speed square, Look for the column of DEG
(DEGREES) and find the number it lands on. This will be your roof pitch in
DEGREES. Or close enough to it.

WHAT ROOF SHEET - FOR WHAT ROOF PITCH ??

TRADITIONALLY

A corrugated custom orb sheet to suit (5 degree roof pitch) would be installed on a pitched roo

Then a Klip-Lok Sheet to suit (1 degree) or Trimdek (2 degree) would be installed onto the flatter sections of roofing

RECENTLY

With the recent invention of corrugated roofing to suit flat roof applications – we can now install Custom Orb Accent 21 to suit (3 degree roof pitch) & Custom Orb Accent 35 to suit (2 Degree Roof Pitch) on flatter roof profiles. Being 2 and 3 degree roof pitches.
